Grease Monkey has become a burger institution in Canberra. When it came to launching the business in 2015, they wanted to launch big!

the Solution

Agency 9 worked with Grease Monkey on their launch strategy, with social media and media relations chosen as the only forms of marketing required.

Their Facebook page was published six months prior to the first burger being flipped. Using a string of teaser posts, we began promoting the cheeky and unruly attitude of the brand with the aim of generating lots anticipation for their opening day.

We also began engaging with the media, getting everything ready for a big splash for their opening week.

The RESULTS

The launch of Grease Monkey was epic. Opening day was covered by all local media outlets and the brand page had a strong community Facebook following.

They had a line down the street of people waiting to try the much talked about burgers. It was a real coup for us to be a part of launching what is now an iconic Canberra establishment.
